Global companies with branches in various regions of the world are local in nature because a one-size-fits-all approach does not work. The reason is that talent pools, cultural nuances, and government regulations affect how companies are run. Furthermore, in the food industry, companies like OSI Group have to consider consumers’ taste buds.
According to OSI Group, LLC, President David McDonald OSI Group, the organization has a well-positioned global network of people, plants, and offices around the world. He adds that although the group has a scale-in-size global operation outfit, it has sensitive local management teams that understand local cultures and tastes. As a result, the group attributes its success to a global scale, efficiency, and local solutions.
OSI Group is headquartered in Aurora, Illinois. It’s a global supplier of food products like value-added proteins such as beef patties and sausage links. It also supplies pizza and sandwiches to leading retail and food service brands globally. It operates over 50 facilities that are located in 17 countries. It is looking to expand its global efficiency and local solution strategy in its expansion within the Chinese market.
Presently, OSI Group, LLC, runs eight factories in China. It is looking to add two new facilities, which will make it the biggest poultry producer in China. OSI’s China operations serve major outlets like Yum, McDonald’s, Saizeriya, Starbucks, Burger King, Subway, and Papa John’s. Apart from its Chinese expansion, OSI Group has either opened or announced plans to open new production and processing facilities in countries like Poland, India, and Hungary.
